This audiovision can be read as a metaphorical proposal to show all human contacts (and in particular the tactile ones) that are going to get lost in these times of pandemic, health emergency and distancing. We could perhaps speak of a "representation of a non-being in place" or of visualization of an invisible located in the beyond: no didactic attempt to report facts or gestures that intend to refer directly to the topic; no rhetoric. Only an audiovisual stream designed to invade the walls of the city not to pretend to give answers but in the hope of raising questions.
Lino Strangis is an intermediary artist (video art, video installations and video sculptures, virtual reality, performance intermediali, 3D sculptures, video-sets, sound art) experimental musician and director (theater, cinema, tv) born in Lamezia Terme on 19/01/1981, lives and works in Rome and Turin.
Since 2005 participates in numerous festivals, international historical exhibitions and reviews in Italy and abroad (ARS ELECTRONICS, Biennial of the Mediterranean, Video formats, City Sonic, Projector, Athens Videoart Festival, Invideo, …) and holds several solo and group exhibitions in private galleries and prestigious museums including MACRO (Roma), MAXXI (Roma), PECCI MUSEUM (Meadow), STEAM FACTORY (Milano), RICE MUSEUM (Palermo), MAUTO (Torino), PAN (Naples), GAMC (Viareggio), WHITE BOX MUSEUM OF ART (Beijing), muBA (S.Paulo), Torrance Art Museum (The Angels).
His works have been exhibited alongside those of artists such as Nam June Paik, Bill Viola, Robert Cahen, Studio Azzurro, Miao Xiaochun, Steina and Woody Vasulka.
